Maria Do Ceu Pinto

New Bedford- Maria Do Ceu (Ferrão) Pinto age 93 died Tuesday May 19, 2009 at home in the company of her loved ones. She was the wife of the late Jose Santos Pinto who died April 8, 1988. Mrs. Pinto was the mother of Esperanca wife of Jose Coelho, Conceicao Pinto both of New Bedford, Lurdes wife of Victor Cunha, Helena wife of the late Victor Coelho both of Dartmouth and the late Antonio Pinto. She was the grandmother of Fatima Luiz, Luis Coelho, Sandra Cunha, Patrick Cunha, David Coelho and Diane Coelho, and great-grandmother of Justin, Brandon, Brianna Luiz and Cameron Coelho. She was the great-great grandmother of Hayden Sylvia, Maria was the sister of the late Alfredo Ferrão, Jose Ferrão, Graça Cardoso and Rosa Pasos. She is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Pinto was the daughter of the late Ana (Sousa) and Antonio Ferrão. She was born in Nabais Gouveia, Portugal and lived in this area since 1968. She was employed as a floor girl at States Nitewear until her retirement.

Mrs. Pinto’s Funeral will be at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Saturday at 8 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 6 to 9 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
