John A. Rozario

New Bedford-John A. Rozario age 70 years died Friday May 8, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. Survivors include his Brothers and Sisters Antone and Paul Rozario both of New Bedford, Ernest Rozario and Anna Silva both of Bridgeport, CT, Eva Nolan of Chicago, IL, Amelia Gomes of New Bedford, Antonia Rozario, and Stella Lopes both of New Bedford.

Mr. Rozario was a son of the late Antonio and Clara (Costa) Rozario. He was born in New Bedford and lived here most of his life, but also lived in Norwich Connecticut for 19 yrs.. He was the proprietor of the City Hall Shoe Shine Stand until his retirement. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church.

Mr. Rozario’s Funeral will be at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Tuesday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Monday from 5-8 P.M.
