Mary R. (Sanchez) Sylvia

New Bedford –Mary R. (Sanchez) Sylvia age 80 died Friday April 24, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Antone Sylvia. Mrs. Sylvia was the mother of Theotonio F. husband of Andrea Sanchez, John husband of the late Brenda Sanchez and Rosa Sanchez all New Bedford, MA., and Donna wife of Albert Silva of Atlanta, GA. She was the grandmother of Ebony, Mahogany, Elexis, and William Silva, Shantelle, Emerald and Ryan Sanchez, Timothy Harkins, Erin Peixoto and Wesley Lessa. She was also survived by several great-grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews. Several siblings predeceased her.

Mrs. Sylvia was the daughter of the late Theotonio and Rose (Monteiro) Sanchez. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. She was a lifetime member of the YA CLUB

Mrs. Sylvia funeral will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Tuesday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9A.M. Burial at St. John Cemetery.
