Eduino F. Costa

New Bedford-Eduino F. Costa age 76 years died April 12 at home after a brief Illness, Surrounded by his children. He was the husband of the late Norbina (Couto) Costa who died May 31, 2005. Survivors include his children Eduino Costa and his wife Leonice of Dartmouth , Mario Costa of New Bedford, Fatima Borges and her husband Jose of New Bedford , Maria Vieira of New Bedford , Etelvina Medeiros and her husband Joao of New Bedford , and John Costa of New Bedford, brother Manuel Costa of Sao Miguel, sisters Maria Goncalo and Conceicao Pimental both of Montreal, Canada, 10 grandchildren, 2 godchildren Aiden Costa and Maria Furtado, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Barbosa, Antonio and Joao Costa.

Mr. Costa was the son of the late Alexandrina (Furtado) and Manuel DaCosta Fravica. He was born in St. Michael, Azores and moved to New Bedford in 1976 where he lived the rest of his life. He worked as a Machine Operator at Aerovox until his retirement.

Mr. Costas funeral will be from Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John the Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5-8 P.M.
