Idalina Rimigio (Fernandes) De Medeiros

New Bedford-Idalina Rimigio (Fernandes) De Medeiros age 98 years died April 6th at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel De Medeiros, the loved mother of Aurelio F.M. Grota and his wife Maria Lourdes of Dartmouth and Manuel De Medeiros and his wife Ana of New Bedford. Mrs. De Medeiros was the beloved grandmother of Flavio P. Grota, Fernando P. Grota, Patricia Amaral and Roberto De Medeiros. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. De Medeiros was the daughter of the late Jose Rimigio Fernandes and Maria dos Anjos Almeida Fernandes. She was born in Ajuda da Bretanha São Miguel Açores and has lived in this area since 1966. Idalina was a member of the Nosso Senhor dos Anjos of New Bedford, MA.

Mrs. De Medeiros’s funeral will be from Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Thursday at 8 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John the Baptist Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
