David Lee Botas

New Bedford-David Lee Botas age 52 years died April 4th at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. He was the father of David Lee Botas II and Justin Lee Botas both of New Bedford. David was the loved brother of Wayne A. Botas and Karen A. Costa both of New Bedford, godchild of Maria Helena Medeiros, Uncle of Alison A. Costa, Kristen M. Botas and Neal D. Costa. He is survived by several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends.

Mr. Botas was the son of Alice (Goes) Botas and Walter G. Botas both of New Bedford. He was born in Newport, Rhode Island and has lived in this area all of his life. David worked as a Constable for Bristol County. He was a member of the Portuguese American Social Club, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Prayer Group, and Our Lady’s Chapel Downtown.

Mr. Botas’s Funeral will be Wednesday at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery New Bedford MA. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M.
