Manuel Cabral Sr.

Dartmouth - Manuel Cabral Sr., aged 93 years, died Friday, February 27, 2009 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. He was the husband of the late Aldina (Medeiros) Cabral and the late Mary (Furtado) Cabral. Mr. Cabral was the father of Rosaline Cabral and Richard, husband of Linda Cabral all of S. Dartmouth. He is also survived by a brother, Joseph Cabral, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Cabral was the father of the late Manuel Cabral Jr. and Al Cabral and brother of the late Ceasar, Antone, Mary, Connie and Georgianna.

Mr. Cabral was a son of the late Ceasar and Mary (Medeiros) Cabral of Portugal. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area for all of this life. Mr. Cabral was a cloth cutter at Mar Lil International and was a lifetime member of the Portuguese - American Social Club of S. Dartmouth.

Mr. Cabral’s Memorial Mass will be Friday, March 13th, at St. Mary’s Church, Padanaram at 11 A.M., followed by the burial of his cremains at St. John Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the church.
