Russell Medeiros

New Bedford - Russell Medeiros, age 48 years, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital, after a long illness, in the presence of those whom he loved. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lou (da Silva) Medeiros of New Bedford. Mr. Medeiros was the loved father of Mitchell, Marshall and Zachary all of New Bedford. He was survived by his brother Michael Medeiros and 2 nieces, all of Northglenn, CO.

Russell is the beloved son of Raymond and Helen (Pietrzyk) Medeiros of New Bedford. He was a truck driver for ABC Disposal prior to his illness. Russell was an avid outdoorsman in the woods of Maine enjoying Snowmobileing, Skiing, Hiking, Paintball, Jet Skiing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Camping and just driving his Jeep. He especially enjoyed being with his beloved family.

Mr. Medeiros’ funeral will be at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Friday at 8:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to Mass from 8:30 – 9:30 A.M.
