Brian Sheffield Sr.

New Bedford - Brian Sheffield Sr., aged 56 years, died Friday, January 30,2009 at home after a long illness. He was the loving husband of Natalie (Botelho) Sheffield of New Bedford. He was the father of Brian Sheffield Jr. of Barnstable, MA and Raegan De Deus wife of Jayme of New Bedford. He was the brother of Elizabeth Sheffield. Mr. Sheffield has 3 granddaughters Kaitlyn, Dru and Camry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sheffield was the son of Margaret (Aguiar) and the late Wesley Sheffield. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. He was employed as a welder at Schaefer Marine for 28 years and was also a shop steward for 19 years. He was a former member of the Teamsters Union: Local # 59. Brian managed little league baseball at S.E.Y.A.A. and enjoyed fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and family.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated. Services for Mr. Sheffield will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St.,on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the funeral home at 9 A.M. Fr. Wilson will officiate.In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Diabetes Association P.O.
