David "Dida" Pacheco

New Bedford, MA - David “Dida” Pacheco, age 51 years, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at home after a brief battle with cancer. He was the father of Sherry Tavares of Lakeville. Mr. Pacheco was the grandfather of Lila May Nielsen. He was the brother of Theresa M. Knight and Thomas Pacheco both of N. Carolina, Kathleen Lima of New Bedford, Edward Pacheco of Rochester, and the late Stephen Pacheco. His companion Karen Lynch of New Bedford.

Mr. Pacheco was the son of the late Edward and Kathleen (Quail) Pacheco. He was a long time resident of this area. Mr. Pacheco was employed as a commercial fisherman.

Mr. Pacheco’s memorial service will be held Friday, January 9, 2009 at The Seaman's Bethel at 2 P.M.. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
