Constance Marie Julliette (Robert) Sylvia

New Bedford, MA.-Constance Marie Julliette (Robert) Sylvia age 72 years left us to be with the Lord Tuesday December 23rd, after a long illness. She was the beloved mother of Elizabeth Sylvia of New Bedford, companion of William Mitchell of Fall River, MA. Joe F. Sylvia Jr. husband of Janice of New Bedford, Linda Skellinger wife of Terry of New Bedford, June Pimental wife of Arthur of New Bedford, Robin Conchinha of Mattapoisett and Melissa Milligan wife of Robert of Dartmouth. She was the longtime companion of the late William Moniz of Fall River. Constance was the sister of Roland Robert and his wife Helen of Acushnet, Doris Albert and Lucille Michalski both of New Bedford.Constance was beloved Grandmother of the late Joye Skellinger, she is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sylvia was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and M. Lea (Landry) Robert. She was born in New Bedford and was a life long resident. She was employed as an assembler at Isotronic for 10 years, she also worked at Fairhaven Corp. and Payne Cutlery. She enjoyed the company most of her cat Mittens. Constance was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods.

Mrs. Sylvia’s Memorial services will be Saturday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 3:30 P.M. Pastor Gerald Martel of the Grace Gospel Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 1-4 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
