Sylvester Luce

New Bedford-Sylvester Luce age 78 years died Friday at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. He was the loved husband of Louise (Andrews) Luce of New Bedford. He was the father of Susan Eck of Warren, PA. and Stephen Luce of New Bedford.

He was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Reis) Luce. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. He was a metal worker at American Dryer in Fall River until his retirement.

Mr. Luce’s funeral will be on Tuesday at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 7:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 9 A.M.. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday evening from 5-8 P.M..
