Leonard V. Correia

Dartmouth – Leonard V. Correia aged 74 years, died December 7, 2008 at home after a long Illness. He was the husband of Maria F. (Cunha) Correia of N. Dartmouth. Survivors include 2 Sons Christopher M. Correia of New Bedford and his companion Ann Marie Demers and Jeffrey Correia of New Bedford and his longtime Companion Monica Lima, 1 Daughter Deborah Pavao and her husband Manuel of Dartmouth, 5 Grandsons Brandon, Matthew, Michael, Eric, and Craig and 1 grandaughter Brianna. He is also survived by several godchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ronald Correia.

Mr. Correia was the son of the late Josephine (Marshall) and Manuel Correia. He was born in New Bedford, MA. where he lived most of his life, moving to N. Dartmouth in 2001. He worked as a forememan for the City of New Bedford for 30+ yrs.

Mr. Correia’s Funeral Mass with cremains present will be Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Relatives and friends should go directly to the church. In lieu of flower a donation in his remembrance can be made to Southcoast Hospice Care.
