Felicita (Arrocho) Sosa

New Bedford, MA.-Felicita Sosa age 88 years died Friday Nov. 28th at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of Antonio Sosa. She was the mother of Gilbert Galarza of Deerfield Beach, FL., Miguel A. Sosa of New Bedford, Alicia Baez of Providence, RI. and Victora Manzano of New Bedford. She was the sister of Daniel Medina of New Bedford, Raul Medina of New York, Luis Arrocho and Jesus Medina both of Puerto Rico, and the late Isabel Cortez, Felix Medina and Sotero Arrocho. Mrs. Sosa was the loved Grandmother of 12, Great-Grandmother of 8 and Great-Great-Grandmother of 6. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sosa was the daughter of the late Juan Jose and Victora (Medina) Arrocho. She was born in Aguadilla, Ruerto Rico, and has lived in this area since the 1950’s. She was a stitcher at various local mills, until her retirement.

Mrs. Sosa’s funeral will be Tuesday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Religious services will begin at time to be announced. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
