Michael John Harrison Carter

New Bedford-Michael John Harrison Carter, age 50, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was the brother of Dianne Rivet and her husband Randal of New Bedford, and the late Brian David Carter who passed away July 21, 2008. He also was survived by a niece Christina Rivet and a nephew Randal John Rivet

Mr. Carter was a son of the late Herbert and Pauline (Sommers) Carter. He was born in New Bedford and he lived in this area all of his life. He was employed as a machine operator at Acushnet Company. Michael was a very generous and care-giving person and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Mr. Carter’s funeral will be Wednesday from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery #2. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4-6 P.M. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend.
