Alexandrina (Botelho) De Almeida

New Bedford –Alexandrina (Botelho) De Almeida aged 80 years died November 7th at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of Rodolfo Almeida of New Bedford and the late Eugenio De Sousa. She was the loved mother of Louis De Sousa of Bridgewater, MA., Pedro Sousa of New Bedford. MA., Manuel E. Sousa of Dartmouth, MA., and the mother of the late Manuel, Louis and Guilherme De Sousa and Jose B. Luz. Mrs. De Almeida was the sister of Maria Isabel Oliveira of New Bedford, and Cecelia Botelho of St. Michael Azores. She is also survived 12 Grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. De Almeida was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria Isabel Pacheco (Leal) Botelho. Born in Agua de Pau, São Miguel, Açores, She has lived in New Bedford since 1971 and employed as a packer at Amaral’s Linguica Co.

Mrs. De Almeida ’s Funeral is from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Monday at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 5-8 P.M.
