Joao Pereira Pimentel

New Bedford– Joao Pereira Pimentel , age 67 yrs., passed away unexpectedly at Home on October 16, 2008. He was the husband of Maria Olinda (Curado) Pimentel of New Bedford. He is survived by 3 daughters Isabele DeSousa of Dartmouth, Lina Silva of New Bedford and Sandra Duarte of Dartmouth. A Brother Jose Pimentel and 1 sister Lena Pimentel both of Portugal. 2 son in laws, and 6 grandchildren

Mr. Pimentel was the son of the late Florinda (Miranda) and Francisco Pimentel. He was born in Figueira do Foz and moved to New Bedford in 1979. He was employed as a Fisherman for several Fishing Vessels.

Mr. Pimentels Funeral will be Monday at 8:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Relatives and Friends are invited. Burial will follow at St John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 5-8 P.M.
