Dominic A. Santangelo

New Bedford -Dominic A. Santangelo age 86 years, of New Bedford died Sunday October 12th after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Alba M. (Cassiani) Santangelo. He died at home peacefully with his loved ones present. Dominic and Alba would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in November.

Dominic was the son of the late Luciano and Fatina (Oste) Santangelo. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. He was a communicate of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was formerly employed by West End Laundry as a driver/salesman until his retirement, at which time he helped his son-in-law as a chauffeur for LeBoeuf Livery Service. Mr. Santangelo was a member of the Italian-American Veterans. He was a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. Dominic was a dedicated family man who loved being with his loved ones and friends. He will be greatly missed.
He especially enjoyed Marc's and Katie's events if it was at school or on the sporting fields. He wouldn’t miss being there beaming with great pride of their accomplishments.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter Susan M. LeBoeuf and her husband Albert N. of New Bedford. His beloved grandchildren Marc LeBoeuf and his companion Carolyn Sawyer of Portland, ME, Katie M. LeBoeuf of New Bedford. His special pride and joy was his great-granddaughter Nicole Dominique LeBoeuf. Two sisters Fatina Higgins of New Bedford and Catherine Truesdale of Rhode Island. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
