Maria Olinda (Pereira) Larguinho

New Bedford– Maria Olinda (Pereira) Larguinho, age 75 yrs., passed away at St. Luke's Hospital on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. She was the wife of Alfredo R. Larguinho of New Bedford. She was the mother of 3 daughters Mary Lou wife of Fernando Medeiros of New Bedford, Fatima wife of Jose Brasil of Westport, Helena wife of Paul Viegas, of New Bedford and 3 sons Antonio Larguinho husband of Lidia of New Bedford, Jose Larguinho husband of Carol of East Providence, and David Larguinho husband Carmen of Dartmouth. She was the sister of Luzia Lopes and Ana Caldas both of New Bedford and Jose Pereira of Dartmouth, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was also survived by several nieces, nephews,.

Mrs. Larguinho was the daughter of the late Maria Jose (Cabral) and Manuel Pereira Jr. She was born in St. Michael, Azores and lived in this area since 1966.

Mrs. Larguinho’s Funeral will be Thursday at 8:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 a.m. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 Relatives and Friends are invited. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
