José Teves

Dartmouth– José Teves, age 87 yrs., passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital; after a long illness on Monday, August 18, 2008. He was the husband of the late Alexandria (Sousa) Teves, and father of Manuel husband of Maria Teves, Maria DeLourdes wife of Artur Melo, Jose husband of Fatima Teves, Maria De Conceicao Teves, and Maria De Espirito Santo wife of Ernesto Linhares. He was the brother of Claudio Teves. Survivors also include 17 Grandchildren and 8 great-grand children, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Teves was born in São Miguel Açores and lived in this area since 1979. He was the son of the late Inorina (De Sousa) and Antonio Teves He was formerly employed as a landscaper.

Mr. Teves’s Funeral will be Thursday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday Evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited.
