Bradenton, Florida - Janice Fore, 74 of Bradenton, died May 21, 2008. Mrs Fore was born on May 20, 1934 in New Bedford, Mass. She was the daughter of the late William and Laura (Correia) DeCosta. She had been a resident of Bradenton since 1959 coming from Washington D.C. She was Registered Nurse for over 20 years at Manatee Memorial Hospital, retiring as a Head Nurse. Her memberships include President of Delta Theta Sorority Chapter 2690, Manatee Widows Club, attended St. Bernard Catholic Church, and past member of the Bradenton Yacht Club.
Mrs. Fore is predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Capt. Clyde A. Fore, US Army-Retired in 2003. She is survived by a brother, William, husband of Muriel DeCosta of New Bedford; niece, Melissa, wife of Christopher Dextradeur of Marion; three nephews, Stephen DeCosta of Groton, Conn., Michael, husband of Suzanne DeCosta of Stormville, N.Y. and Scott, husband of Jill DeCosta of New Bedford; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. James Church, 233 County St., New Bedford. Burial of cremains will follow at St. John Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the church. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital, 332 North Lauderdale Ave., P.O. Box 318, Memphis, TN. 38101, in Janet’s name and that of the Delta Theta Sorority, Chapter 2690, to which she belonged.
