Juan E. "King" Pugh

New Bedford – Juan E. “King” Pugh, age 51, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Frances (Curley) Pugh of New Bedford. Mr. Pugh was the father of Shaun Curley and his wife Tania of New Bedford, Herbert Curley of New Bedford, Derek Wild of Indiana, Juanell Pugh of New Bedford, Jeanette Sadam of Randolph and Channel Young of Boston. He was the brother of Butchy Johnson, Michael Pugh, Lashalle Pugh and Donnel Pugh all of Detroit. Mr. Pugh is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and a godson Shaun Byars.

Mr. Pugh was born in Boston, Ma. and lived in this area for the past 16 years. He was the son of Juanita V. (Byars) and Earl Pugh. He worked as a Security and Body Guard and also wrestled professionally under the name of “Party Man King”.

Service for Mr. Pugh will be Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, Relatives and friends are invited to meet here at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery.
