Angelo Borges Garcia

New Bedford – Angelo Borges Garcia, aged 86 yrs., passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, July 6, 2008. He was the husband of Dorothy L. (Correia) Garcia and father of the late Craig J. Garcia. Mr. Garcia is also survived by several cousins.

Mr. Garcia was born in Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores and lived in this area since 1942. He was the son of the late Joao Borges and Maria (Varao) Garcia. Mr. Garcia was employed as a Weaver at Quaker Manufacturing in Fall River.

Mr. Garcia’s Funeral will be Wednesday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., at 8 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday Evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited.
