Bruce Victor Teixeira

Dartmouth – Bruce Victor Teixeira, died June 27, 2008 at Hallmark Nursing & Rehab Center. He was the father of Melissa and Kevin Teixeira both of New Bedford and Richard Teixeira of Plymouth. Mr. Teixeira was the grandfather of Jocelyn Teixeira of Dartmouth and Nathan Teixeira of Rochester. He was the brother of Debra Teixeira of Rochester.

Mr. Teixeira was the son of Albertina “Tina” (Avila) Teixeira of Dartmouth and the late Richard S. Teixeira. He was born in Acushnet and lived in this area all his life. He was a fisherman and a caretaker for D.Y.A.A. and was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam.

Mr. Teixeira’s Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Wednesday at 9:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church South Dartmouth at 11:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.

In accordance with his wishes Mr. Teixeira will be cremated. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. at a later date.
