John Avila Iii

Dartmouth –John Avila III died Friday June 13 at home, He was husband of Madeline (Oliveira) Avila of Dartmouth. Loved Father of Michele Silva who is married to Robert Silva Jr. of Dartmouth and the late Matthew Avila. Loved Grandfather of Jessica Avila, Erin Silva, and Ali Silva, Brother of Genevieve Spaulding of New Bedford and the late Mary Murphy. He is also survived by his Mother-in-Law Eva (Rogers) Oliveira and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Avila was the son of the late Mary (Machado) and John Avila Jr. He was born in Dartmouth and lived in this area all his life. He worked as a Fisherman on Various Local Fishing Vessels and fish processing plants.

Mr. Avila’s Funeral Services will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Tuesday at 10.00A.M. Visiting hours will be Monday evening from 5-8 P.M.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Avila will be cremated.
