Mary Correia

Dartmouth-Mary Correia aged 88 years died June 11th peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones, after a long illness. She was the widow of John G. Correia. She was the sister of the late Joseph and sister-in-law Joyce Nunes. She was also survived by a niece Dr. Nancy Creekmore and Family of West Monroe, LA., Her loving caregiver Natalie Da Rosa with whom she lived for the last 18 months, her Godchildren Roy Da Rosa, Fred & Cathy Da Rosa, Mandy and Steven Dunn and the late Armando G. Da Rosa and Debra Da Rosa.

Mrs. Correia was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Formiga) Nunes. She was a life long resident. She was a collar turner for Shellburn Shirt Company in Fall River. She was a member of the Amalgamated Ladies Garment Workers Union; she enjoyed spending time in her back yard with family, watching the Lawrence Welk Show on Saturday evenings, as well as Emeril Lagasse Cooking Shows.

Mrs. Correia’s Funeral is From the Perry Funeral Home Saturday at 9:15 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church, in Dartmouth, MA., at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Friday from 5-8 P.M.
