Blanche C. Ferreira

Dartmouth-Blanche C. (Gemme) Ferreira age 76 died Saturday May 31, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of Esayas S. Ferreira of Dartmouth. She was the mother of Tammy, wife of Edward Rebello of Dartmouth. She was the grandmother of Crystal Hoffman, Joscelyn Hoffman, and Brad Brissette, and the great-grandmother of Nicholas Brissette, and Cole Kelley. Mrs. Ferreira was the sister of Rose Holloy of Ohio, and the late William Gemme Jr. and Henry Gemme. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ferreira was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Booth) Gemme. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all her life. Many years ago she worked at Cornell Dubilier. She took care of many children. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. James Church.

Mrs. Ferreira’s Religious Service will be Wednesday at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at South Dartmouth Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M..
