Conceicao Lauriana

New Bedford- Conceicao Lauriana aged 77 years died April 28, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of the late Joao Peixoto. Mother of Joao Carlos Peixoto and his wife Graca of Toronto Canada, Margarida Sousa and her husband George of New Bedford, Madalena Leite wife of Antonio of Dartmouth, Jose Luis Peixoto of New Bedford, Paula Goncalo and her husband Luis of New Bedford and Delia Moreira and her husband Emanuel of Dartmouth. She was the sister of Carlos Couto of Dartmouth and Tome Couto of Säo Miguel Açores. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lauriana was the daughter of the late Julio and Maria (Vieira) Couto. Born in Ribeira Quente, Säo Miguel, Açores she has lived in New Bedford since 1980.

Mrs. Lauriana Funeral is from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Friday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5-8 P.M.
