Lillian Sylvia

New Bedford, MA - Lillian R. (Vieira) Sylvia, aged 75 years, died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Joseph W. Sylvia of New Bedford. Mrs. Sylvia was the mother of Edward Rebello of Reno, Nevada, Ernesto A. Rebello Jr., Diane L. Baptista and Donna M. DeSouza all of New Bedford, and Debra J. Fiano of Florida. She was the sister of David Vieira of New Bedford and the late Manuel Ventura, Joseph Rapoza, Julia Christianson, Mary Souza and Leonard Vieira. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sylvia was a daughter of the late Antonio and Marianna (Medeiros) Vieira. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life.

Mrs. Sylvia’s burial will be held at Rural Cemetery at a later date.

In accordance with her wishes she was cremated.
