Virginia R. Rapoza

New Bedford- Virginia R. Rapoza age 79 years died Wednesday at home after a long illness. She was the widow of the late Antone P. Rapoza Jr. Mother of Patricia and her husband Robert Jakusik of Westport. Grandmother of Todd Jakusik of West Palm Beach Florida and great grandmother of Adonté and Andreas. Sister of Gray Mariella of Highpoint North Carolina, Ralph Marshall and his wife Maxine of Springfield, Virginia. Mrs. Rapoza was the sister of the late Elsie Marshall and Lee Marshall. She was also survived by a sister-in-law Nell Marshall of Kernersville, NC. and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rapoza was the daughter of the late Wally Franklin and Nettie (Allred) Marshall. She was born in High Point North Carolina and lived in this area most of her life. She was an office worker for New Bedford Institution for Savings until her retirement.

Mrs. Rapoza’s Funeral will be Saturday at 8 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St John the Baptist Church Saturday at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
