Manuel Sylvia

Dartmouth MA, Manuel Sylvia age 81 years, died Tuesday April 1, at home after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Lorraine (Oliveira) Sylvia. He was the father of David M. Sylvia and his wife Jennifer of Dartmouth; he was the brother of Ollie Mota of Dartmouth and Ethel Matthew of CT. He is also survived by 2 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and his special friend Norma Fernandes

Mr. Sylvia was the son of the late John and Lucy (Carvalho) Sylvia. He was employed as an installer of furnaces, and oil burners. Mr. Sylvia was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

His Funeral is from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Monday at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church Dartmouth, MA. at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 2 P.M. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 5-8 P.M.
