Richard S. Teixeira

Dartmouth - Richard S. Teixeira, died Friday, Mach 28, 2008 at home, after a long illness. He was the husband of Tina (Avila) Teixeira of Dartmouth. Mr. Teixeira was the father of Bruce Victor Teixeira of Dartmouth and Debra Jeanne Teixeira of Rochester, MA. He was the grandfather of Melissa M Teixeira, Kevin B Teixeira, Richard J Teixeira, and the great-grandfather of Jocelynn M Teixeira, Nathan S. Teixeira and Dennis J. Racine. He was the brother of the late Rose Boehler, Frank Teixeira, Mary Izyk and Elsie Rego. Mr. Teixeira is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Teixeira was the son of the late Francisco and Mary (Sylvia) Teixeira. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life. Mr. was employed as a commercial fisherman. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II.

His Funeral will be Monday, at 8:45 A.M at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. with a Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, S. Dartmouth, MA. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, from 5 - 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Angel Wings 200 Mill Rd Fairhaven MA, 02719
