Jorgina Martins-Oliveira

Dartmouth -Jorgina (Laranjeiro) Martins-Oliveira age 83 years died March 4, 2008 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth, unexpectedly. She was the widow of Antonio Caetano Martins and Manuel M. Oliveira. She was the loved mother of Jose Domingos Caetano Martins and his wife Maria Elisa of Lisbon, Antonio Manuel Caetano Martins and his wife Edwina of Taunton, and John Martins and his wife Marie of Dartmouth, and Ricardo Oliveira of New Bedford. She was the grandmother of Joana Cruz, Timothy L. Martins. Randy Martins, and Melissa Ana Martins. Great-grandmother of Martha M. Cruz, and Pedro Cruz. She was the sister of Maria Estrela Borges of Cambridge, MA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Martins- Oliveira was the daughter of the late Manuel Moniz and Delvina DeJesus (Medeiros) Laranjeira. She was born Cabouco, Lagoa, Soa Miguel Açores.She has lived in this area since 1972. She was a folder at Coyne Laundry.

Mrs. Martins-Oliveira’s Funeral will be Monday at 9:30 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church; Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 5-8 P.M.
