Maria Da Conceicao Pires

New Bedford-Maria da Conceicao Pires age 87, died Friday February 15 , 2008 at Catholic Memorial Home after a illness. She was the wife of the late Jose Nunes Pires. Mother of Jose Nunes Pires of New Bedford , grandmother of Jason Pires of Swansea, MA., sister of Maria Caiado of New Bedford. She is also survived by 2 nephews and 2 nieces. Mrs Pires was the sister of the late Virgilio and Jose Rosario.

Mrs. Pires was the daughter of the late Jose and Serafina da Conceicao Rosario. She was born in Portugal and lived in New Bedford since 1966. Mrs Pires worked as a winder at the Acushnet Company until her Retirement.

Mrs. Pires Funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Burial will be at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
