Gloria (Froias) Sousa

New Bedford – Gloria Sousa, aged 86 years, died , February 14, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Mrs. Sousa was the wife of the late Joseph Sousa. Mother of Cecilia Vieira of South Dartmouth, and Connie Sousa of S. Dartmouth, Sister of Querbina Carreiro of New Bedford and Conceicao Silva of Canada. Grandmother of Debra Couto of Dartmouth and Nicole Figueiredo of Acushnet.

Mrs. Sousa was a daughter of the late Serafim Froias and Arminda (Sousa) Froias. She was born in St. Michael, Azores and lived in this area for the past 46 Yrs.

Mrs. Sousa’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Saturday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a service at 10. Burial will follow at St John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 6 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
