Antone Moura

New Bedford-Antone "Catcher" Moura died Monday February 4, 2008 at home Unexpectedly. He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Mello) Moura, father of Ronald Moura of Dartmouth, grandfather of Ronald Moura of Dartmouth, brother in law of Rose Moura of New Bedford and was also a brother of the late Gabriel and Alvaro Moura.

Mr Moura was a son of the late Maxmina (Maraes) and Augosto Moura. He was born in New Bedford, and lived in this area all his life. He was the Owner of Capitol Motors for the past 61 Yrs, and was the former owner of Tony’s oil service, Capitol Service Station, and part Owner of Perfection Oil. Mr. Moura was a Member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Prince Henry Society and was a former director and Chairman of the Luzo Bank.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St John the Baptist Church Friday at 9 A.M. with visiting hours at the Perry Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8 PM
