Jose Pimentel

Dartmouth - Jose Pimentel, age 45, died Wednesday, January 31, 2008 at home unexpectedly. He was the beloved husband of Dora (Furtado) Pimentel of Dartmouth. Mr. Pimentel was the father of Jessica wife of Joseph Luz of New Bedford and Ryan Pimentel of Dartmouth. He was the brother of Rita Pacheco of Dartmouth, Zelia Hermengildo and Paula Da Rosa both of New Bedford and the grandfather of Jesslyn Luz and Jeremiah Luz. He is also survived by 2 godchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Pimentel was a son of the Deolinda(Santos) Pestana of New Bedford and the late Silvino and Pimentel.
He was born in Sao Miguel, Acores and lived here since 1971. He was a bricklayer for Salvucci Inc.

Mr. Pimentel’s Funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5 - 9 P.M.
