Mary E. (Cidade) Brown

New Bedford - Mary E. (Cidade) Brown, aged 87 years, died Tuesday January 8, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Andrew G. Brown of New Bedford. Mrs. Brown was the mother of Steven A. Brown and Joseph A. Brown of New Bedford and Diane M. McGinn of Wareham. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces.

Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Joseph and Antonia (Amaral) Cidade. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life.

Mrs. Brown’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, Friday, January 11, 2008 at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian burial at St John the Baptist Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
