Fernando Antonio Carvalho

New Bedford - Fernando Antonio Carvalho, age 64 years, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Maria Francisca (Cruz) Carvalho of New Bedford, the father of Antonio Manuel Carvalho and his wife Cheri of Denver, CO. and Elizabeth C. Faria, wife of Andre, of New Bedford and the brother of Fatima DaCosta of Dartmouth. Mr. Carvalho was the grandfather of T.J. Carvalho, Joshua Carvalho, Kyle Correia, Kaitlyn Correia, Kurt Correia, and Amber Carvalho. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Carvalho was a son of Alfredo and Maria (Bernardo) Carvalho. He was born in Furnas, St Michael, Azores and has lived in this area since 1972. Mr. Carvalho worked as a machine operator for Continental Screw and he also worked as a self employed stone mason.

Mr. Carvalho's funeral will be Monday, December 10, 2007 at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:00 A.M with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St Mary Cemetery, New Bedford. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5 to 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
