Clementina Jesus (Andrade) Almeida

New Bedford - Clementina Jesus (Andrade) Almeida died Friday, November 2, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Augusto Almeida, the mother of Antonio Almeida of Florida, Jorge Almeida of Martha's Vineyard, Maria Faria of Dartmouth and Louise Estrella of New Bedford. She was the sister of the late Virginia Raposo and sister of Filomena Neto and Maria Paiva both of Dartmouth and Albertina Avila and Aldina Bettencourt both of New Bedford. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren and several nieces, and nephews.

She was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria L. (Andrade) Andrade. born in Sao Miguel, Azores and lived in this area since 1960. She was a cloth spinner at Berkshire Hathaway until her retirement.

Religious services will be at the Perry Funeral Home Wednesday at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends to gather at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Visiting Hours will be Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 P.M.
