Lillian Machado

New Bedford - Lillian Machado, aged 77 years, died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the loved wife of Antonio Machado of New Bedford. She was the mother of Antonio Machado Jr. and Debra A. Machado both of New Bedford, the grandmother of Antonio Machado III of New Bedford. She was the aunt of George P. Silva of Blackstone, MA. and the sister of the late Jenny Silva.

Mrs. Machado was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. She was a daughter of the late Virginio and Maria T. (Santos) Bento. Mrs. Machado was formerly a cloth inspector at various local cotton textile mills.

Mrs. Machado’s funeral is from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 7 - 9 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
