Eva (Santos) Monteiro

New Bedford-Eva Monteiro age 94 years died August 28, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the loved widow of Antone F. Monteiro. She was the sister of the late Maria Dolores Gracia. She was also survived by a Niece and Nephews, as well as many good friends, including Joe and Olga Medeiros.

Mrs. Monteiro was the daughter of the late Louis and Laura (Oliveira) Santos. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all her life. She was a saleslady at Paxon Fabrics until her retirement. She was a member of the Legion of Mary at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Mrs. Monteiro’s Funeral is From the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Friday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5-8 P.M.
