Egidio F. Tiburcio

New Bedford Egidio F. Tiburcio – age 75, died August 1, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Maria Odete (Vieira) Tiburcio of New Bedford. He was the father of Egidio L. husband of Paula Tiburcio of New Bedford, and Maria DeJesus wife of Antonio Fiorito of Sorrento, Italy, and was the grandfather of Seth Tiburcio, Luca Fiorito, and Sabrina Fiorito. Mr. Tiburcio was the brother of Lupercia Medeiros, Ilidia Silva, Maria Medeiros, Irondina Medeiros, Delfina Amaral, all of New Bedford, and Ester Tiburcio of St. Michael, Azores, and the late Joao Tiburcio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Tiburcio was the son of the late Joao and Maria (Furtado) Tiburcio. He was born in Ribeira Quente, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal and lived in this area since 1969. He was formerly employed as a machine operator at Industrial Freezer Factory.

Mr. Tiburcios’ Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Saturday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 A.M.. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday 5 to 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
