Joyce R. (Marlowe) Aguiar

New Bedford - Joyce R. (Marlowe) Aguiar, age 61 years, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of Eduardo Aguiar Sr., the mother of Cheryl Lara and Eduardo Aguiar Jr. both of New Bedford and the late David Aguiar. Mrs Aguiar was the sister of Frances deSousa, May Menard, Margaret Marlowe, Marilyn Newett, Francis Marlowe and Kenneth Marlowe all of New Bedford, Judith Sabino of S. Dartmouth and the late Nelson Marlowe. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, an aunt and several nieces and nephews. She was the beloved aunt of the late Scott Marlowe.

Mrs. Aguiar was a daughter of the late Francis and Angelina (Dutra) Marlowe. She was born in New Bedford and lived here all of her life.

Funeral arrangements are by the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Visiting Hours will be Thursday from 6 – 9 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family. According to her wishes she will be cremated.
