Rose Correia

New Bedford –Rose (Mello) Correia age 91, died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at St. Lukes Hospital. She was the widow of Manuel Correia, and Manuel Tavares. She was the loving mother Geraldine M. and her husband Ronald Correia of No. Dartmouth , the late Manuel M. Tavares and his wife Nancy Tavares of No. Dartmouth, 5 Grandchildren. 10 Greatgrandchildren, a deceased Grandson Gary R. Correia. She was the sister of the late Manuel and Antone Mello and a sister Mary Carreiro. She was the Aunt of Gerald A. Carreiro.

Mrs Correia was a daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Amaral) deMello. She was born in New Bedford and has lived in the New Bedford area all of her life. She was a member of the St. John's Forever Young Club.

Mrs Correia’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home Saturday at 7 AM with a Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church at 8 A.M.Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday from, Relatives and friends are invited.
