P>New Bedford –Maria (Lameiro) Gomes age 86, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Hathaway Manor. She was the wife of the late Manuel S. Gomes, loving mother of Victor Gomes and his wife Graciete of South Dartmouth, Grandmother of Susan Dias and her husband George of So. Dartmouth, Steven Gomes and his wife Kathy of Taunton Greatgranddaughters Gabriela Dias and Sofia M. Dias, 2 Brothers Joao Lameiro of Portugal and Armando Lameiro of Brazil, Deceased Siblings ;Andriano Lameiro, Maria doCarmo Vavao and Guilhermina Vericemo,

Mrs Gomes was a daughter of the late Joao and Maria daPiedade (Fonseca) Lamero. She was born in Pedreiras, Portugal and moved to the New Bedford area, She loved her family very much.

Mrs Gomes' funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home Tuesday at 8 AM with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 6 to 9 PM. Relatives and friends are invited.
