Antonio Freitas Saude

New Bedford – Antonio Freitas Saude, age 69, died Monday June 25, at home unexpectedly. He was the husband of Maria Alice (Bettencourt) Saude of New Bedford. He was the father of Jeffery Saude of New Bedford, Antonio Saude of Terceira, Azores, and Edite Maria Saude Dores wife of Raimundo from Terceira, Azores. He was the grandfather of Judite Saude Dores, and Rita Saude Dores both of Terceira, Azores. He was the brother of Joao Saude of Lisbon, Portugal.

Mr. Saude was the son of the late Antonio Viera and Maria Egito (Freitas) Saude. He was born in Azores, Portugal and has lived in this area for the last 32 years. Mr. Saude worked as a Machine Operator for A.F.C.

Mr. Saude’s funeral will be on Saturday at 9:30 A.M. from Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M.. Burial will follow at St Johns Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday 5-8 P.M.
