Rodney Velez

New Bedford, MA.-Rodney Velez aged 41years died Sunday June 24, 2007 at home, unexpectedly. He was the widow of Debra (Huxley) Velez. He was the father of Shane Velez, and Tabitha Sylvia, both of New Bedford. He was the grandfather of Ashyah. He was the brother of Jesse Velez, and John Frates, Patricia Frates, all of New Bedford, and Cecelia Reveira of Florida.

Mr. Velez was the son of the Raymond Velez of Puerto Rico, and Carmen (Rodrigues) Frates of New Bedford. He was the stepson of the late John Frates. Born in New Bedford he lived in this area all of his life. He was a landscaper.

Rodney’s Funeral Service will be held Friday at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. @ 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning only from 9:30 to10: 30A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
