Manuel Furtado Dasilva

New Bedford MA.- Manuel F. DaSilva age 84 years passed away June 15,, 2007 at St. Lukes Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Mercedes (Martinez) DaSilva of New Bedford, father of Anna DePina of New Bedford, Rosary Fumo of Fairhaven and Maria Furtado of West Palm Beach, Florida, the Grandfather of Joann DePina, Greatgrandfather of Kira and Paul Pedrosa, brother of Natalie Sousa of New Bedford, Leonilda DaSilva of Portugal, and brother of the late Jose Furtado, Palmira DaSilva and Ilda DaSilva. He is also survived by several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Mr. DaSilva was born in Pico, Azores and raised in Fayal, Azores, the son of Manuel F. and Maria Augusta (Lopez) DaSilva. He was employed by bank of Boston in the Maintenance Department.
His Funeral will be Monday at 8 AM with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 AM. Visiting hours are at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Sunday from 5 to 8 P.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery.
