George J. Costa

New Bedford-George J. Costa aged 54 years died Wednesday May 23rd, at home unexpectedly. He was the widow of Nancy (Cabral) Costa. He was the father of Jeanie Lemieux of New Bedford, her twin Justin Costa of FL., and Sarah Grace of New Bedford, and the late Nicholas, Sherry, and Shawnee Costa. He was the brother of Cathy Marotte, Sharon Cabral, JoAnn Costa, Carol Costa all of New Bedford, and the late Wayne Costa. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Costa was the son of the Joseph V. and Joan (Howard-Raynor) Costa. He was a life long resident of New Bedford. He was a fisherman with various fishing vessels.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday June 9th, at 1 P.M. at the Seaman’s Bethel on Johnny Cake Hill.
